Bargain Hunting
How I Save Money on Everything, Everywhere!
One thing is for sure, I am a professional at shopping. Now this isn’t the type of shopping where I just buy what ever appeals to me, I impulsively buy what is the best deal possible. Some of you may say that you are not saving money if you are spending money, but it’s strategic spending that will save you the most! With this knowledge and experience I have aquired over the years of bargain shopping, I have set out to create a professional blog where I can share some advice on how to become a savvy bargain hunter, and it’s really quite simple!
USE ONLINE BLOGS AS RESOURCES
So how do you get started when it comes to living life on the bargain budget? I have used several resources online in order to obtain a greater understanding of how deals and coupons work! My favorite blog online for couponing is The Krazy Koupon Lady. This is a wonderful resource for everything in regards to saving money, store ads, coupons, and well written articles of various topics that will be extraordinarily helpful in your deal hunting journey.
DEAL MODE
To begin the deal mode mentality, change in your mindset. Now is the time to you will change the way you traditionally do your shopping and plan ahead based on what stores are offering the best prices for the products you are looking for. There will be several stores you’ll visit in order to complete your shopping list, and though that may seem inconvenient, in the long run will save you tremendous time and money! Planning ahead on your groceries will help you not only save money, but also will help plan your meals for the week, creating healthier habits in addition to the thrill of a bargain.
On top of planning your shopping ahead, you should also look in to coupons that you can use on top of the store sales. There are many blog sites that do the research behind the coupons that correspond with products on sale in stores, so it isn’t as time consuming as everyone thinks it is. Now, there are so many different types of coupons you can use! The Sunday paper features coupon inserts, but there are also coupon databases online, and electronic coupons(store rewards).
Not only is preparation key to saving money, timing is just as important! In order to save the most, you will need to use your coupons that coincide with what stores ad are offering for the cheapest price. Do not use a coupon just because you have it on hand, wait for it to go on sale and use the coupon then so you’re getting the cheapest price. Another good tip is to stack your coupons, which means you use a manufacturer coupon, on top of a store coupon, on top of the stores weekly sales. Stores like Target, Walgreens, Kroger, Rite Aid and Safeway offer coupons that can be stacked on top of manufacturer coupons.
Who knew all of this can be as simple as that! This is just the beginning! Have looked into couponing, and thought that the time and effort wouldn’t be worth your while? Leave a comment below on what you think!
